Safety Advisor
Sydney | Large Scale Mixed-Use Development
We’re currently partnering with a highly regarded builder developer delivering a major live construction project in Sydney, with a significant pipeline of upcoming work set to commence over the coming years.
They’re looking to add an experienced Safety Advisor to the team who understands the realities of working in a fast-paced builder environment and can confidently partner with site teams to drive positive safety outcomes onsite.
This role would suit someone coming from a commercial or residential building background locally, who understands how projects are delivered on the ground and can build strong working relationships with subcontractors, supervisors and project teams alike.
The project itself is large, complex and already well underway, offering exposure to a busy live environment with multiple stages, interfaces and long-term stability beyond the current job.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting day-to-day site safety operations
Conducting site inspections, audits and investigations
Driving subcontractor engagement and compliance
Assisting with SWMS reviews and risk assessments
Working closely with delivery teams to maintain and improve safety culture
Maintaining project reporting and documentation
Requirements:
Previous experience in a Safety Advisor / Coordinator role with a commercial or residential builder
Local construction experience within Australia is essential
Sound understanding of builder-side site operations
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Relevant safety qualifications
Practical, proactive and team-oriented approach
